Terms and Conditions

The Tidy Well offers a Professional Decluttering and Organising service. We are not a cleaning service.  We would work alongside the client to offer support and practical advice to help you organise your home or workplace into a clutter free space. All work is directed by the client as are any decisions about what to donate or dispose of. We will only dispose of items belonging to the people present during the session with there permission. 

RISK AND SAFETY

 The Tidy Well does not accept liability arising from the disposal of any item(s) where it is later claimed to have been wanted or valuable. Once items have been removed from site, as instructed by the client, they will be disposed of/donated the same day and cannot be returned. Only one car load of donation items will be removed from site per session. Anything more than this well be the responsibility of the client.

In the unlikely event  of accidental damage, loss or destruction, we will not accept liability during the course of providing the service. We rely on you (the client) to ensure that you have suitable and appropriate insurance for any potential damage caused.

Prior to our appointment, the client should disclose any information that might put us at risk of harm  within the working environment.

In the interests of the personal safety of our team, the client’s name and address may be made available to a Representative of The Tidy Well whilst on site at the client’s address.

All staff reserve the right to decline to work with a client or to leave a session if they feel unsafe personally or regarding the working environment,

During the onboarding process, we will ask for an emergency contact name and number for the client in the event of an emergency during a session. If you have any medical conditions, that could put you at risk during a session, we ask that you make us aware in advance of the booking.

If at any point I recommend the services for other service providers to you, I will not accept any responsibility for their performance nor liability for any fees payable for their services.

All information and conversations are kept completely confidential. The only circumstances in which your information may be shared is:

  • If there appears to be a risk of harm to yourself or anyone else.
  • If you have other professionals working with you, and would like me to liaise with them.

You can choose to allow The Tidy Well to post before and after photos on social media. This will be agreed in advance.

CHARGES AND PAYMENT TERMS

Bank transfer is the preferred payment method, however cash may be accepted. 50% payment is required on booking of initial session. The balance will be charged in instalments, (outlined in the contract) and payable at the end of each session. 

Breaks/ rest times requested by client are included within the session time. We do not expect you to provide us with any food or drinks during our sessions as we will provide our own. If a session takes place over a lunchtime, and the booking is more than 4 hours, we would agree to stop for 30 mins to break and you will not be charged for this time. 

For trips over 20 miles in both directions, expenses of 47p per mile for the additional distance will be charged. This will be discussed at the initial consultation. Any parking fees incurred in providing the Services will be invoiced to the client. 

Session length will be agreed at the time of booking, however if you (the client) requests an extension of the session time, the additional hours will be charged at the usual hourly rate £35 (to the next nearest half an hour if out with a package) or taken off the remaining hours to be used within the package purchased.

CANCELLATIONS AND ALTERATION OF HOURS

You have the right to cancel up to 48 hours before the session without losing the session value when part of a package. The session/hours can only be transferred to another date. You will incur a 50% charge if it is a single session booking or may re-arrange without penalty at the discretion of The Tidy Well. 

Cancellation within 48 hours of the booked appointment will incur the full fee or loss of hours from the package booked.  However, if it is deemed as unforeseen circumstances, it will be at our discretion whether it can be transferred to another date.

If the session is cancelled by  The Tidy Well, it will be re-scheduled for a future date.

INSURANCES

The Tidy Well holds full Professional Indemnity Insurance up to £5,000,000 and Public and Products Liability insurance up to £5,000,000.

The Tidy Well will not be responsible for the cost of repairing any pre-existing damage discovered during our sessions.

The Tidy Well aims to place items in a logical place suitable to the client however, once a project has been completed, we are not responsible for identifying the whereabouts of any particular items. 

The decluttering process may be an emotional experience and clients should be prepared to confront these feelings. Our team will do their best to support the client with sensitivity and respect.

The Tidy Well will not lift heavy items, or carry out any DIY tasks. The client is responsible for making  these arrangements if such work is required. 

COVID-19

Face coverings will be worn at a client's request should the client feel more comfortable. Please keep the house well ventilated and with open windows if possible.

If either party subsequently tests positive for Covid-19 following working together, neither will be held liable.
